A Message For My Teen……

One of the things I remember……
about being a teenager……
is that my mother and I were always arguing……
about something…….
She didnt like my clothes, my room was never……
clean enough,……
and I was always getting in trouble……
for staying out too late…….
We drove each other crazy……
and I couldnt wait until……
I was old enough to get away from her…….
I know that sometimes you have similar feelings…….
Being a teenager can be so difficult…….
I want you to know……
that even though it may seem like I dont understand,……
in many ways I do…….
As your life unfolds, so much will change…….
Before you know it, you will be all grown up……
and living on your own…….
And just as the passage of time……
has brought me closer to my own mother,……
you and I will grow closer, too…….
Until then…never doubt how much I love you…….
Im sure that we will continue to have our battles,……
but please believe……that I do have your best interests at heart…….
Youre my child…and letting go……
