| How are you going to know what your child
needs?
Boarding Schools
- what are they and how can they help your child?
Our Boarding Schools are State Licensed intervention
programs for problem children who may be experiencing emotional,
academic, and/or behavioral problems.
Instead of wreaking havoc on themselves and their families
the children will spend their days in group counselling, individual
and family therapy, and learning how to interact with peers
and adults in a meaningful and healthy way.
For their part, many teens find success at Boarding Schools by learning more about themselves and what drives their destructive behaviors. The children are asked to specifically
look at what's going on in their lives and what kind of decisions
they've been making.
Boarding Schools
provide the forum for struggling youth to evaluate
their behaviors.
As a former resident of a Boarding School recalls, "You
realize what you are doing to yourself and what you do to others.
You can't explain how it works. It is magic, it's intense."
It's their parents' desperate hope that, once it's over, they'll
get back the child they once knew.
Boarding Schools are different to military-style boot
camps, which rely on humiliation and barked orders.
Not all Boarding Schools are created equal.
Troubled Teen Help is an association that
will help you to make an informed decision when you choose to
intervene on behalf of your child.
We have compiled a database of Boarding Schools.
This is so you can find the proper treatment for your situation.
